PVC REGISTRATION EXERCISE

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will start registration for those without Permanent Voters Card (PVC) and those who misplaced/lost/damaged theirs, INEC will commence this exercise from April 2017 for registration of eligible voters ahead of the 2019 election.

So this is to implore all the people who just come of age (clocked 18 after 2015 election) and those who lost or damaged their PVC to approach the nearest polling centre to get registered or request for a replacement.

Those whose card is intact need not reapply as the PVC  remains valid beyond 2019 election.

Let us all get registered or re-register and also encourage youths around us to, so we can empower ourselves to vote in candidates of proven worthy character and vote out hardship.

PDP NORTHERN LEADERS AND ELDERS RESOLUTION MEETING ON WEDNESDAY 15TH OF MARCH, 2017

After extensive deliberations and the review of key issues, the assembly of Leaders and Elders passes the following RESOLUTIONS:

1.    That we unanimously support the efforts of the National Caretaker Committee to ensure the unity, integrity and full cooperate existence of the Peoples Democratic Party.

2.    That we totally support the legal action taken to appeal to the Supreme Court on the recent judgment of the Court of Appeal.

3.    In view of the need for an all-inclusive solution to the current leadership crisis of the PDP, which has literally left the Party in a State of Emergency, the leaders agreed that the situation requires the application of the “doctrine of necessity”.  This means a genuine reconciliation process must be initiated, with appropriate representations from each of the recognized Organs and Forum in the Party, namely:

1.    Forum of Founders/Elders
2.    Board of Trustees
3.    Current Governors Forum
4.    National Assembly Caucus
5.    Former Governors Forum
6.    Former Ministers’ Forum
7.    Former National Assembly Members
8.    Current State Chairman Forum
9.    Zonal Committees
10.    Former Deputy Governors Forum
11.    Former State Speakers / State Assembly Members
12.    Women’s Wing
13.    Youth Wing
14.    Former National Officers Forum
15.    Former Ambassadors / Board Chairmen

A meeting, with representations of a minimum of six (6) and maximum of twelve (12) from each of the above -listed organs/for a, should immediately be convened, and to be presided by a distinguished Elder Statesman from the PDP.  And any decision taken at such meeting should be final and binding on all members of the Party.

Subsequently, legal experts should be engaged from each side to facilitate the execution of the decision.

Dear Almighty God, I thank you for adding another year to my age, thanks for all the good things you have done for me and for always giving me Joy, happiness and peace of mind. I also thank you for all the bad times and tribulations of life that have made me become a better person as the years goes by.

Many things has changed as time passes by but what I hope for, is that everyday I can be better and I will have one more chance to fight for the things I believe in, which is to serve my people and make my community and Nigeria a better place to be. Happy birthday to me.
